Asset management

Mandate

Management of METCAP's own capital, held on the balance sheet. Investment decisions follow the firm's own risk framework, liquidity needs, and long-term objective of preserving and compounding capital.

Approach

Capital is allocated across fixed income, public equities, index strategies, and selected fund and alternative investments — balanced to manage risk and return across market cycles, with capital preservation as the first principle.

Where we allocate

Fixed income & direct bonds Direct bond positions and credit instruments held for stable, risk-adjusted income.
Public equities & indices Liquid, structurally strong segments across global and regional markets, with index exposure as a diversified, low-cost core.
Fund investments Selective allocations to external funds and managers where they add diversification or specialist access.
Alternatives Treated as a distinct risk layer for diversification, not short-term speculation.
Discipline

A conservative framework centred on capital preservation, liquidity management, and risk-adjusted return. Allocation is reviewed continuously and adjusted to the market environment.

Direction

Over time, METCAP intends to extend its asset management capability beyond its own balance sheet to third-party strategies — including a proprietary bond fund and additional investment strategies — built on the same risk framework and capital discipline. These are not currently offered to external investors.
